This Cookie Policy explains how Itza Media Limited ("Itza", "we", "us" or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on getset.life (the "GetSet Website"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your computer or mobile device. They let the site remember things about your visit, such as your cookie choices, and help us understand how the site is used. Similar technologies, such as pixels and local storage, work in the same way, and we refer to all of them as "cookies" in this policy.
How We Use Cookies
GetSet does not have user accounts, so we use far fewer cookies than most websites. We use cookies for the following purposes:
- Strictly necessary. These make the site work and remember your cookie choices. They do not need your consent and cannot be switched off.
- Analytics. These tell us which pages and resources teachers use most, so we can improve GetSet. We only set them if you accept optional cookies.
- Functional. These are set by YouTube and Vimeo when they play some of our programme films. We only set them if you accept optional cookies.
- Marketing. These help us understand how newsletter subscribers use the site after clicking a link in our emails. We only set them if you accept optional cookies.
- Advertising. These tell us whether someone who saw one of our adverts on Facebook or Instagram went on to visit GetSet or sign up to our newsletter, and let us show follow-up adverts to people who have visited the site. We only set them if you accept optional cookies.
We do not use advertising cookies anywhere students work. Students take part in sessions on the ITZA platform at itza.io, which has its own Cookie Policy.
Your Choices
When you first visit GetSet, we ask whether you accept optional cookies. There is one choice: you can accept all optional cookies or reject them all. Until you accept, only strictly necessary cookies are set. You can change your mind at any time by selecting Cookie settings in the footer of any page.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, usually found in the Options, Settings or Preferences menu. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working. You can find out more about cookies at www.allaboutcookies.org.

The analytics cookies stay on your device for up to two years. The visit data they generate is deleted from Google Analytics after 14 months.
Content and Services That Do Not Set Cookies Here
Images, some programme films and page content on GetSet are delivered by Sanity, our content management system, which does not set cookies on the GetSet Website.
Some resources open in Google Docs or Google Slides, and every GetSet session links to a learning pathway on itza.io. These are separate websites with their own cookies. When you visit them, their cookie policies apply, including the ITZA Cookie Policy. The links to our social media pages work the same way.
Changes to This Policy
We will update this policy if we change the cookies we use, for example when we add a new tool to the site. We will post the updated policy on this page and change the "Last updated" date above. If a change affects the optional cookies you have agreed to, we will ask for your consent again.
